Furanic 75 is a liquid, urea-furfuryl-formaldehyde casting resin. Its trade form is a light brown to brown colour liquid. Furanic 75 is used for manufacturing casting cores and moulds using ‘no heat’ method. Furanic 75 resin is used for manufacturing moulds and cores for grey cast iron. Given the opportunity to adjust time the binder is suitable for using small and large cores, also with complicated shapes in unit and short series production. This resin might also be used for manufacturing cores for certain types of cast steel. Hardeners manufactured using sulphonic acids are used form curing Furanic 75 resin.
