Slag trap is used for backfilling liquid metal in a furnace or in vat. Its purpose is binding slag produced in the process of smelting. Several minutes later contamination might be easily removed from the upper surface of metal. It is suitable for casting cast steel, grey and spheroidal cast iron as well as non-ferrous metals.
