A cord that discharges gases is a flexible pipe made of hard PP polypropylene fibres resistant to high temperatures (up to 300˚C). The cords are used for degassing moulds and cores manufactured using SMS and Cold Box methods, for production of non-ferrous metal casts, cast iron and cast steel. The cords should be installed without creases or folds.
